Kazakhstan lies in the north
of the central Asian
republics and is bounded by
Russia in the north, China in
the east, Kyrgyzstan and
Uzbekistan in the south, and
the Caspian Sea and part of
Turkmenistan in the west. It
has almost 1,177 mi (1,894
km) of coastline on the
Caspian Sea. Kazakhstan is
slightly more than twice the
size of Texas. The
Kazakhstan territory is
mostly steppe land with hilly
plains and plateaus.

Kazakhstan Adoption
THE PROCESS AND TRAVEL

The Kazakhstan adoption process begins by collecting documents,
which will comprise your Dossier. It typically takes 1 to 3 months to
complete a Kazakhstan adoption dossier. Once the documents have
been collected, prospective parents will submit the adoption dossier
to Sunshine International Adoption Agency. After review and
translation the adoption dossier will be submitted to the Kazakhstan
Consulate. The dossier is registered and then the approved dossier
is sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then directly to the
Ministry of Education. While you wait, you will be reading over the
Travel Packet we send you and preparing for your trip to
Kazakhstan. SIAA will make your trip to Kazakhstan easy and
pleasant. Kazakhstan associates will meet you at the airport and
assist you with all adoption processing in Kazakhstan, including
paperwork and translations, travel arrangements and
hotel/apartment reservations and will guide you step-by-step
through the adoption process in Kazakhstan and make sure that
you have all the correct paperwork before you return home.

Kazakhstan Adoption | CHILDREN IN KAZAKHSTAN

Kazakhstan represents a variety of ethnic groups including Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian, Uzbek and
Tatar. Children available for adoption in Kazakhstan are between 7 months of age and up to 15 years
old. Both boys and girls are available for adoption. Children are of Asian, Eurasian and Caucasian
descent. The youngest referral will range from 7 months to 2 years old.
The Kazakhstan regulations permits full disclosure of information about all medical histories of the
children. We work in many regions and various orphanages. The staff in the orphanages are very
dedicated to the waiting children and take very good care of them until they find their forever families!
In the orphanages, the children receive specialized care from the doctors and nurses.
Kazakhstan Adoption
BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR KAZAKHSTAN

Both married couples and single applicants are welcome to adopt from Kazakhstan.  Both parents
must be US Citizens and must meet the requirements of USCIS and Kazakhstan. Older parent
adoptions are accepted by Sunshine International Adoption Agency on a case-by-case basis.  
Unmarried prospective adoptive parents must be at least 16 years older than the child.  
Sunshine's Kazakhstan program is a fabulous adoption

for adoption as other countries have become more
complicated.
